Roraback To Announce Congressional Run

Andrew Roraback, plans to announce his intentions to run for US Congress on Thursday in his hometown of Goshen at 12:30 pm. The six term State Senator representing the 30th District encompassing 15 towns in Northwest Connecticut will become the fifth Republican to jump into a seat being vacated by current Congressman Chris Murphy. Murphy has opted to run for US Senate, a seat currently held by Joe Lieberman who is retiring.

The announcement will be on the steps of Goshen Town Hall on Rt. 63.

“10,000 Free Round-Trip Tickets to Japan.” When I first saw this headline, I had to read it. Free, really? Of course my radar went up immediately, and with good reason.

While it sounds good, it’s an idea that hasn’t been finalized. Japan is desperately trying to increase tourism to the country after the devastating earthquake, tsunami, and radiation leak scarred the nation. Click here to continue reading…
