What do politicians have in common with beauty queens?
Well their love of dogs, of course!

This Saturday, the annual King Pins vs. Crowns bowling competition will take place at Wolcott Lanes from 6-9 pm.  The public is invited to also play in teams of four. All proceeds will help buy food for dogs at the Waterbury and Bristol Dog Pounds. Call Wolcott Lanes at 879-1469 to book a lane for your four man team.

Last year, the King Pins were reported to have won the feature match, with Wolcott’s own Mayor Thomas Dunn throwing several strikes. Bristol Mayor Art Ward, Waterbury Mayor Neil O’Leary are both expected to attend. State Rep. Rob Sampson is expected to rotate in as well.
