Weekend Events: Ribs and Revolutionary War

by Christopher O'Brien

Saturday Sept. 14th

Sixteen teams will show off their cooking talents Saturday afternoon in Peterson Park in the annual Wolcott Rib-Off. Teams will compete in three categories that test their smokers with ribs, chicken, and an always interesting ‘open’ category. In past years, the open category has provided fish, unique side dishes and desserts. Some are grilled and some are not. Anyone is welcome to try free samples. A 50/50 raffle and donations to the Wolcott Food Bank will help those in need throughout town. Any questions contact Keli, Ben or Leigh Russel at 879-5092.
